About This Access Site
Located in Lone Star, Marion County, the Lakeland Drive boat ramp provides access to Big Cypress Bayou and Lake O' the Pines. To reach the site from Lone Star, take US 259 south and turn left on FM 729 before the bridge at Big Cypress Creek; the ramp is approximately 1 mile south of the intersection. This access point serves as a convenient launch for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters exploring the expansive 18,700-acre lake nestled in the piney woods of Northeast Texas.

Lake O' the Pines offers excellent opportunities for paddling and boating across its substantial waters and scenic shoreline. The lake encompasses approximately 9,000 acres of surrounding land, providing a mix of open water and more sheltered bayou sections for various skill levels. This access site is well-positioned for exploring Big Cypress Bayou's quieter coves and the broader lake environment.

The area includes convenient overnight accommodations if you're planning an extended visit. Johnson Creek Camp and Alley Creek Camp are both reservable campgrounds located within 10 miles of the ramp. For additional information about Lake O' the Pines recreation and facilities, contact the Lake O' the Pines Chamber of Commerce in nearby Avinger.
