About This Access Site
Lakeland Park offers a convenient mid-lake access point on the east shore of Lavon Lake in Collin County, featuring a four-lane boat ramp suitable for kayaks, canoes, and larger boats. The facility is located approximately 45 minutes north of Dallas, about 5 miles south of Princeton. To reach the ramp, take US Highway 380 to State Highway 78 near Farmersville, then follow the signs to the park entrance on the west side of the road. Note that the ramp is seasonally operated (April 1–September 30), though a south ramp at the park remains open year-round with gate hours from 6am to 10pm. A day-use fee is required.

The park itself is a well-developed facility operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, featuring picnic areas, parking, and restrooms. Lavon Lake is a popular fishing destination known for largemouth bass, white bass, blue catfish, and crappie. Paddlers and boaters can also enjoy nearby hiking and equestrian trails along the Trinity Trail. For current conditions, hours, and fee information, contact the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at 972-442-3014 or 972-442-3141.
