About This Access Site
The Lakeshore boat ramp on Lake Chicot provides convenient access for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorized boats. Located on the southeast side of the 20-mile long lake, this two-lane concrete ramp has a dock and paved parking area. As the largest natural lake in Arkansas and one of the largest oxbow lakes in North America, Lake Chicot offers ample opportunities for paddling and boating. The lake's calm, protected waters make it well-suited for both recreational and fishing craft. Nearby Chicot County Park also has another boat ramp further south on the lake. Paddlers should be aware of potential wind and wave action, especially on the open portions of the lake. The Lakeshore ramp provides a good launching point to explore Lake Chicot's scenic shorelines and backwaters.
