Lakeshore Drive provides convenient access to Eufaula Lake, Oklahoma's largest lake entirely within the state, via a single-lane concrete ramp with a courtesy dock and paved parking. Located on the west shore just north of Eufaula (take Lake Road east from Highway 431 to Old Creek Town Road), this day-use facility is ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and recreational boaters. The ramp is managed through Recreation.gov as an activity pass area and is reservable.
Eufaula Lake sits on the Canadian River, a major waterway (Stream Order 9) with an average flow of over 7,100 cubic feet per second. Paddlers should be aware that the Canadian River has a moderate gradient and swift current (averaging 4.68 feet/second), making it suitable for intermediate to experienced paddlers. Below the dam, the tailwaters are known for excellent striped bass fishing and are popular for boating and kayaking activities. Check current water conditions and flow rates before launching, as river dynamics can vary seasonally.
