About This Access Site
Lakeside Park offers a well-maintained two-lane boat ramp located in a protected cove near Ferrell's Bridge Dam on Lake O' the Pines. The sheltered position makes this an excellent choice for launching in variable weather conditions. The facility includes a boat dock extending into the lake, plus amenities like swimming beaches and day-use picnic areas suitable for larger groups. This is a day-use area (reservable through Recreation.gov), so plan accordingly for your visit.

**Access & Location:** The park is located at 5177 FM 726 in Jefferson, Texas. From Jefferson, take Highway 49 northwest for 3.8 miles, turn left on FM 729 for 3.5 miles, then left again on FM 726 for another 3.5 miles to the entrance. Alternatively, from Lone Star, take US 259 south and turn left on FM 729 before the bridge at Big Cypress Creek; the ramp is about 1 mile south of that intersection.

**About Lake O' the Pines:** This large impoundment covers approximately 18,700 acres of water with 9,000 acres of surrounding land in the piney woods of northeast Texas, offering excellent opportunities for kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and water sports.
