Lakeview Park South offers a small, protected boat ramp on Grapevine Lake near the mouth of Denton Creek. The ramp features a single boat lane and provides parking for approximately 15 vehicles. Located in a scenic cove setting, this access point is well-suited for kayakers and canoeists looking to launch onto the lake's calm waters. Note that there is no boat dock at this location.
To reach the ramp, take Kimball north to Lakeview Drive, then head north into the park. The site requires an entrance fee ($10 per vehicle standard days). This access point provides an excellent starting point for exploring Grapevine Lake, a popular recreation destination in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, or paddling up Denton Creek. The nearby Lewisville Lake system offers additional paddling opportunities just north of the area.
