Lakin Slough

**Location & Access**
Located in Yale, Guthrie County, Iowa, the Lakin Slough Boat Ramp provides access to Mississippi River Pool 19. The launch is situated directly across from a sand island locally known as "johnboat beach," a popular summer destination for boaters. The ramp features over 20 feet of water at its base, making it suitable for various watercraft including kayaks, canoes, and motorboats.

Spring Recreation Campground and boating access are operational, with camping available for those planning extended trips. Note that boarding docks are seasonally removed, though the low-water ramp remains available year-round for launching.
