About This Access Site
Located near Dingess in Mingo County, this concrete boat ramp provides access to Laurel Lake, a 29-acre impoundment situated within the 12,854-acre Laurel Lake Wildlife Management Area. The ramp is positioned at the lower end of the lake, making it convenient for launching kayaks, canoes, and small motorboats. The site is approximately 12 miles northeast of Lenore off State Route 65.

Laurel Lake is a calm, managed water body well-suited for recreational paddling and boating. The lake supports a variety of fish species and is popular for fishing and swimming once you're on the water (note that fishing is not permitted from the ramp itself). A graveled launching area is also available midway along the lake if you're looking for alternative access points. The protected waters and scenic setting make this an accessible option for paddlers of all skill levels.
