About This Access Site
The Lavinia boat launch is one of six public access points on Lake Bemidji in Bemidji, Minnesota. This ramp accommodates boats up to 12-18 feet and provides convenient access to this popular recreational lake. The launch area is part of Lake Bemidji State Park, which offers additional amenities including a marina with loading ramp and eight docks, a nearby fish-cleaning house, and a fishing pier at the inlet near downtown Bemidji.

Paddlers and boaters should note that the lake is part of a connected water system including Lake Irving and Stump Lake upstream. Beyond the boat launch, the state park offers a full range of facilities for day-use and overnight visitors, including group camps, picnic areas, a swimming beach, canoe rentals, and naturalist programs. There are no standard launch fees, though a vehicle permit may be required for state park access.
