About This Access Site
Law Park offers a convenient boat launch for accessing Lake Monona in central Madison. Located at 410 S. Blair Street, this site provides a paved landing area suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. Note that **a Lake Access Permit is required year-round** to use this launch—permits are available daily or as annual passes through Madison Parks. The site does **not have trailer parking**, making it best suited for hand-carried or car-top boats rather than trailered watercraft.

Facilities at Law Park are basic but functional, with piers available seasonally (spring through mid-fall). As a year-round access point, it provides reliable paddling access to Lake Monona regardless of season. Before your visit, be sure to obtain your Lake Access Permit, which is mandatory for all improved lake access sites in Madison, the City of Monona, and Dane County Parks.
