Lawrence Shoals is a boat ramp access point on Lake Oconee, the impounded section of the Oconee River in Putnam County, Georgia. The Oconee River is a large river system (Stream Order 7) with a total length of 220 miles and drains an area of 5,275 square miles. At this location on the lake, paddlers and boaters will find relatively calm water conditions typical of an impoundment, making it suitable for various water activities.
