Lawson City Lake offers a well-developed public access point with dedicated facilities for paddlers and boaters. The site features a boat ramp, fishing dock, and a dedicated kayak dock designed for easy launching of kayaks and canoes. Self-serve kayak rentals are available during the summer season, making this a convenient option for visitors without their own equipment.
To reach the lake from Lawson, take North Raum Street north from the junction of Route D for approximately 1 mile to the lake entrance. The facility can also be accessed via gravel roads from the west (204th Street and Tri-County Line Road to Raum) or a paved route from the east via KK Highway to 208th Street to Raum. In addition to water access, the 25-acre lake is surrounded by a walking trail and an 18-hole disc golf course, making it a multi-use recreation area. Note that swimming is not permitted at City Lake, though the Lawson City Pool operates nearby during the summer season.
