Leathersville Ramp

The Leathersville Ramp provides access to the Savannah River and Clarks Hill Lake, a large reservoir managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. This boat launch is part of the Raysville Marina recreation area, which is located on the shores of the expansive Thurmond Lake.

For paddlers, the Savannah River in this section is relatively wide and slow-moving, making it well-suited for canoes and kayaks. The river winds through rolling hills and forests, offering scenic views and opportunities to spot wildlife. Boaters will find ample open water to explore the lake, which stretches for over 70,000 acres and features over 1,200 miles of shoreline.
