Lee Valley Lake is a 43-acre reservoir located in the scenic Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests of eastern Arizona. This high-elevation lake (9,418 feet) offers a peaceful setting for kayaking, canoeing, and small motorized boating.
A public boat ramp provides easy access to the lake. Nearby amenities include the Apache Trout Campground, located within 10 miles. Anglers will find the lake well-stocked with trout and other game fish. Wildlife enthusiasts may spot bald eagles, ospreys, and other birds around the shoreline.
However, access to the lake can be limited in the winter months when roads are closed due to snow, typically from December through early April. Visitors should also be aware that a White Mountain Apache Tribe permit is required to use the recreational facilities in this area. Paddlers and boaters should come prepared for high-altitude conditions and potential wind.
