Located just south of M-204 in Leelanau County, this Michigan DNR boat access site provides excellent entry to both North and South Lake Leelanau via the scenic Lake Leelanau Narrows. The facility features a hard-surface concrete ramp suitable for all trailerable watercraft, with adequate water depth for launching throughout the season. This is a well-developed access point with ample parking for vehicles and trailers, making it convenient for day trips or longer outings.
The site offers several amenities to support visitors, including a picnic area, grills, firepit, playground, and seasonal porta-potty facilities. The sheltered Narrows area provides good conditions for launching, and paddlers and boaters can easily access both the northern and southern sections of the lake from here. The lake's substantial size accommodates various watercraft types, making this a popular and practical launching point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters alike.
