About This Access Site
Leo Lake Campground offers a small boat ramp for paddlers and boaters seeking a quieter lake experience in northeastern Washington. Located 26 miles east of Colville via Highway 20 and Forest Road 506, the campground features a modest eight-site facility with direct lake access. The ramp is particularly suited for canoes, kayaks, and smaller motorboats. Good shoreline access is available around the north end of the lake, and the campground includes drinking water and small paths leading from campsites to the water.

The lake is known for calm conditions and scenic reflections of surrounding forest. In addition to paddling and boating, the area offers fishing (stocked with tiger and rainbow trout), swimming, and camping. Note that this is a no-day-use facility with a private, secluded atmosphere—ideal for those seeking a quieter outing. Reservations are available through Recreation.gov or by calling 435-245-6521. The campground is conveniently positioned between Colville (26 miles west) and Ione (12 miles east).
