About This Access Site
Located on Preston Point in Grayson County, Lighthouse Resort & Marina offers convenient access to Lake Texoma with two concrete boat ramps: a one-lane ramp for motorized boats and a smaller ramp designated for personal watercraft and non-motorized vessels like kayaks and canoes. The facility includes a fuel dock, tackle shop, and general store, with adequate trailer parking and a $5 launch fee. This year-round facility serves as a good staging point for exploring the expansive Lake Texoma, the largest lake in capacity in the Tulsa District.

Lake Texoma sits on the Red River, a major waterway (Stream Order 9) with significant average flows of over 68,000 cubic feet per second. For paddlers, the lake environment offers calmer, more controlled conditions than the main river channel. The surrounding area also provides access to the nearby Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge, established in 1946 as a haven for migratory birds and native wildlife—making it ideal for paddlers interested in wildlife observation. The resort setting provides additional amenities including cabin rentals, boat slips, and onsite guides for those planning extended visits.
