Lillys Bridge is a boat ramp access point on Lake Tillery (the Pee Dee River impoundment) near Mount Gilead in Montgomery County. This is a major river system with significant flow (averaging over 9,000 cubic feet per second) and substantial drainage area. The lake provides excellent opportunities for kayaking, canoeing, and powerboating, with abundant fish species including bass, catfish, crappie, and bream. A marina is located at this access point with boat rentals and dry storage available.
**Important note for boaters:** Lillys Bridge is the recommended access point for vessels with tall structures or wake towers. Pontoons with Bimini tops must lower them before passing under the bridge. The access site serves a wide range of watercraft, from small paddle craft to larger recreational boats. Given the lake's popularity for water sports and the presence of nearby Pee Dee National Wildlife Refuge, paddlers should be prepared to share the water with motorboats and other recreational users.
