About This Access Site
The Lime Lake Boat Access Site is a developed Michigan DNR boat launch located on the southwest shore of Lime Lake in Sparta, Kent County. The site features a boat ramp with dock access, making it convenient for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats. Portable toilets and a swimming area are available on-site, along with playground equipment for families.

Lime Lake offers good fishing opportunities for those interested in multi-use recreation, with populations of black crappie, bluegill, largemouth bass, rock bass, sunfish, and yellow perch. The area is also accessible to the Falling Waters Trail, a scenic 10.5-mile non-motorized pathway ideal for cyclists and runners. This makes Lime Lake a versatile destination for both water-based paddling and land-based recreation.
