The Lime Lake Boat Access Site, located at 6305 South Maple City Road in Maple City, is a developed Michigan DNR launch on the southwest shore of Lime Lake. The facility features a boat ramp with dock access, making it convenient for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats. Portable toilets are available on-site, along with a swimming area and playground equipment.
Paddlers will find Lime Lake suitable for recreational boating with good amenities nearby. The lake supports a healthy fishery including largemouth bass, bluegill, black crappie, sunfish, and yellow perch. The area also connects to the 10.5-mile Falling Waters Trail, a non-motorized route popular with cyclists and runners. Two reservable campgrounds—D.H. Day Group Campground and D.H. Day Campground—are located within 10 miles, providing overnight options. The site's proximity to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore offers additional recreation opportunities in the region.
