About This Access Site
The Lisbon access point, located on Route 196 (Lewiston Road) about 1 mile south of downtown Lisbon Falls in Topsham, offers convenient launch and take-out access to the Androscoggin River. The site features a **paved ramp** positioned near the mouth of the Sabattus River, approximately 100 feet upstream from its confluence with the Androscoggin. This well-maintained facility is suitable for kayaks, canoes, and small motorboats.

**Important take-out information**: If paddling downstream, stay to the right side of the river as you approach the Pejepscot Dam. Look for a slot in the barrier on the far right side and paddle through it carefully. From there, you can haul your boat up over the rocks and grass near your vehicle. Paddlers should be aware of dam operations and water flow conditions before launching, as the Androscoggin can experience significant current depending on upstream releases.
