About This Access Site
Little Bear Creek provides boat ramp access to the upper end of Lake Arrowhead, located east of US 281 in Archer County. To reach the ramp, take West Arrowhead Road off FM 1954 and follow Boat Ramp Road to its end. This is one of nine public boat ramps serving the lake, making it a convenient launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and small to medium-sized motorboats. The location is near the Little Wichita River bridge on the eastern portion of the lake.

Lake Arrowhead spans over 8,000 acres of calm water, making it suitable for paddling, fishing, and recreational boating activities like water-skiing and tubing. The lake is known for good fishing opportunities including largemouth and smallmouth bass, crappie, and catfish. Camping is available nearby at Lake Arrowhead State Park, and the facility includes restrooms, picnic areas, and other amenities. This access point is ideal for a full day of paddling or boating on protected waters in north-central Texas.
