About This Access Site
Little Elkhart Lake is a 52-acre lake in Plymouth, Sheboygan County, offering public boat access via a ramp on the southwest side of the lake near Schwaller Drive. The lake features moderately clear water with a maximum depth of 25 feet, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters. The lake is home to panfish, largemouth bass, and northern pike, attracting both recreational paddlers and anglers.

**Important regulations to note:** No-wake speeds (slow operation) are required from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 a.m., with a 35 mph speed limit during other hours. Motorized boats are prohibited on Sundays from 12:01 a.m. onward. Daily and annual permits are required and available at the boat landing self-registration stations (daily fees: $4 for county residents, $6 for non-residents). This smaller, regulated lake provides a quieter paddling experience, particularly during early morning or evening hours when motorized traffic is restricted.
