Little Long Lake is a 49-acre lake in Mound, Hennepin County, offering public boat access for kayakers, canoeists, and anglers. The lake reaches a maximum depth of 76 feet, making it suitable for various water activities. The access site features a concrete boat ramp with a loading dock and parking area, located at the midpoint parking area along the lake (not at the road's end, which is private property).
This DNR access site is best suited for smaller to mid-sized boats and paddlecraft. There are no launch fees for this site. The concrete ramp and loading dock make it relatively easy to launch kayaks and canoes, and the parking area includes handicapped-accessible facilities. As with all Minnesota DNR water access sites, conditions may vary seasonally, so it's worth checking the Minnesota DNR's Lake Finder tool before your visit for the most current access status and any temporary closures.
