Little Prairie Conservation Area offers convenient public access to Towell Lake near Rolla, featuring a concrete boat ramp suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats. The facility includes a fishing dock, picnic area with pavilion and grills, and an ADA-accessible privy. This makes it a practical launch point for paddlers looking to explore the lake in a well-maintained setting.

**Getting There:** Take Highway V Exit in Rolla off Interstate 44, then head west on the north outer road toward St. James for 1.5 miles. Turn north on Highway RA and continue for about 1 mile—you'll see two access points for Towell Lake; take the next left for the larger boat launch area. The site is managed by the Missouri Department of Conservation and welcomes public use for boating, fishing, canoeing, and other outdoor recreation. As a conservation area, it's also adjacent to Mark Twain National Forest, offering additional outdoor recreation opportunities in the region.
