Little River Park

Little River Park provides a convenient boat ramp and access point to the Chattahoochee River and Lake Lanier. Located in Gainesville, Georgia, this public facility is part of the larger Lake Sidney Lanier recreation area.

The boat ramp at Little River Park is well-suited for launching kayaks, canoes, and smaller trailered boats. While it may not have the expansive facilities of some larger Lake Lanier access points, it offers a quieter, more peaceful launching experience away from the busier sections of the lake. The ramp itself is relatively modest in size, so it may become crowded on peak weekends.

For paddlers, the Chattahoochee River in this area is a scenic, meandering waterway with a mild current. The river eventually flows into Lake Lanier, giving paddlers access to the larger lake system. Boaters should be aware of the typical lake conditions, including variable water levels and potential boat traffic, especially closer to the dam. There is one campground, Toto Creek Campground, located within 10 miles of the access site.
