Located where the Little Sioux River meets the Missouri River near River Sioux, Iowa (exit 95 off I-29, between Omaha and Sioux City), this 4.47-acre site offers boat ramp and canoe/kayak access on the west edge of the Little Sioux River. The ramp approach points downstream and can be difficult to spot from the water until you're nearby. The site includes bank fishing opportunities and a small park area.
**Important note on current conditions:** Due to low water levels on the Missouri River with predictions of further drops, boat ramp access has become limited. Water levels should be checked before visiting. The ramp was recently dredged (3,500 cubic yards of sediment removed), but recent conditions may affect usability for larger boats. Paddlers launching kayaks and canoes will have better success, though they should be prepared for variable water conditions typical of the Missouri River system.
The site offers amenities including food trucks (noon to 8 p.m.) and a general store with snacks and beverages. Given its location at a river confluence and the Missouri River's substantial flow, this is best suited for paddlers with experience on larger, faster rivers.
