About This Access Site
Little Swan Lake offers a state-owned concrete boat ramp on the west shore, providing access to this 164-acre lake near Dassel in Meeker County. The ramp is located within the Swan Lake Day Use Area, which can be reached by turning west from Highway 83 near mile marker 72, just north of town. The lake features approximately 2.36 miles of shoreline and a maximum depth of 67 feet, making it suitable for various boating activities including kayaking and canoeing.

Parking at the access site is limited, so plan accordingly. The facility includes a dedicated boat ramp area where trailers should be parked; avoid parking at the nearby clubhouse, as those spaces are often reserved for other functions. A walk-down launch is also available for kayaks and canoes. The proximity to the Litchfield Wetland Management District makes this a good spot for paddlers interested in exploring wetland habitat and observing migratory waterfowl.
