About This Access Site
Little Tamarack Flowage is a 236-acre lake in Vilas County offering convenient public access via a paved boat ramp with associated pier and parking facilities. The flowage features moderately clear water with a maximum depth of 16 feet, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters alike. Two public boat landings provide access points to explore the water.

The flowage is known for diverse wildlife and fishing opportunities, including musky, northern pike, largemouth bass, and panfish. Approximately one-third of the shoreline remains undeveloped Vilas County Forestland, offering scenic paddling through wetland habitat with opportunities to observe rare flora and fauna. The calm, sheltered waters make this an accessible destination for paddlers of various skill levels.
