About This Access Site
Located at Turtle Lake County Park in the southeast corner of Little Turtle Lake, this popular access point features an 18-foot-wide concrete boat ramp that provides easy launching and retrieval for boats of various sizes. The site is county-owned and includes a public beach area where shore anglers can fish between the beach and boat ramp. Be aware that this is a heavily used access point, particularly on weekends, and the parking area frequently reaches capacity.

Little Turtle Lake (469 acres) is part of the scenic Turtle River chain in the Chippewa National Forest area. Most boaters access Little Turtle via the river channel from Big Turtle Lake, which is located just downstream and has its own concrete boat ramp. An additional carry-in access point exists on an Aquatic Management Area off CSAH 15 at the lake's outlet for paddlers seeking walking access only. The area is known for excellent fishing and canoeing opportunities in a remote, peaceful setting with limited cell phone service.
