Little Wilson Lake offers a public access point via a gravel boat ramp located on the northeast shore, suitable for small boats and ideal for kayakers and canoeists. The access site includes parking space for a couple of vehicles and is situated about 11 miles northwest of Schroeder via U.S. Forest Service Road 355. There is a single backcountry campsite on the lake accessible by water, making this ramp a good launching point for overnight paddling trips in the area.
The ramp is free to use with no launch fees required. While the gravel surface works well for smaller watercraft typical of recreational paddling, boaters should be prepared for basic facilities typical of backcountry access points. Ninemile Lake Campground is available nearby (within 10 miles) if you need accommodations before or after your paddling adventure. Consult a Forest Service map to locate the campsite and plan your route accordingly.
