About This Access Site
Live Oak Ridge offers a convenient two-lane concrete boat ramp with **24-hour free access** to the Leon River and upper Belton Lake. Located on the east shore near Belton Dam, this U.S. Army Corps of Engineers facility provides reliable launching for kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. The ramp is well-maintained and suitable for various water craft, making it a practical starting point for exploring this Central Texas reservoir.

The park itself is a full-service campground with 48 campsites (water and electric hookups available), restrooms, showers, and a playground. While Live Oak Ridge does not have dedicated day-use areas, the free boat ramp access allows day paddlers and boaters to launch without fees or reservation requirements. For overnight camping, reservations can be made through Recreation.gov.
