Loch Raven Fishing Center

The Loch Raven Fishing Center provides access to Loch Raven Reservoir via two concrete boat launch ramps. Located in Phoenix, Baltimore County, this county-owned facility is designed primarily for boaters and anglers. **Important note:** Only electric motors are permitted on the reservoir, making it ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and electric-powered boats. The facility is open year-round with no permit or reservation required, though be aware of active hunting seasons on the property.

Parking and shoreline activities at the fishing center are limited to facility patrons only—picnicking and shoreline fishing from the center grounds are not permitted. Pets must be leashed at all times. The nearby Hampton Visitor Center (operated separately) offers additional amenities including restrooms, a gift shop, and water bottle refills, and is open Thursday through Sunday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. For directions, take Exit 27B (Dulaney Valley Road) from the Baltimore Beltway and head north; the fishing center is accessible via local bus service (Bus #1).

The Hampton Visitor Center, historic buildings, and interpretive operations are open Thursdays - Sundays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Tickets for mansion tours, park brochures, and passport stamps are available in the Visitor Center. Amenities include restrooms, gift shop, and a water bottle refill station.
