About This Access Site
The Lock B Southside boat ramp provides access to the Cumberland River just upstream of Lake Barkley near Clarksville, Tennessee. This is a public launch site suitable for kayaks, canoes, and small motorized boats. The ramp is located at mile marker 193 on the Cumberland River.

The Cumberland River in this area is a large, navigable waterway with moderate current. Paddlers should be prepared for potential barge and recreational boat traffic. Nearby recreation areas include the Cheatham Lock and Dam, which offers additional launch sites and amenities. While the official Recreation.gov listing is for the Lock A Campground, that facility is several miles upstream and not directly associated with this specific boat ramp.

Boaters should review navigation charts and be aware of any water level restrictions or safety zones near the dam. Printable maps and GPS coordinates for this and other regional boat launches are available online through the Tennessee Department of Environment & Conservation.
