**Location & Access**
Lohman Ford Road provides boat ramp access to the Colorado River in Travis County, Texas. The site is located on a quieter section of the river away from heavier boat traffic found on nearby Lake Travis and Horseshoe Bay. The ramp is maintained by Travis County with a minimum usable elevation of 660 feet. To reach the site from Highway 183, take FM 1431 south for 11 miles to Lohmans Crossing Road and turn left.

**River Conditions & Character**
The Colorado River at this location is a major waterway with an average flow of 2,220 cubic feet per second and average velocity of 7.75 feet per second. The river has a moderate 3.2 ft/mile gradient in this region. Paddlers and boaters should be prepared for swift current typical of an 8th-order major river. This section offers a serene, wooded setting suitable for various boating activities including kayaking, canoeing, and motorboating.
