Lon Hagler State Wildlife Area offers a well-equipped boat ramp and access point to the scenic Lon Hagler Reservoir near Loveland, Colorado. This 236-acre reservoir is a popular destination for kayakers, canoeists, and power boaters looking to enjoy the peaceful waters and beautiful mountain views.
The boat ramp is located on the northeast side of the reservoir and provides convenient lake access. There is ample parking available near the ramp. As a State Wildlife Area, a valid fishing or hunting license is required to use this site. Visitors should also be aware that no trash cans are provided, so they must plan to pack out any waste.
In addition to boating, Lon Hagler Reservoir offers excellent opportunities for shoreline fishing. The reservoir is stocked with trout, bass, and other game fish, making it a draw for anglers as well as recreational boaters. Those looking to explore the area further can access hiking trails that circle the perimeter of the reservoir.
