Long Bay Landing is a public boat ramp providing access to Fort Gibson Lake on the Neosho River (also called the Grand River) near Wagoner, Oklahoma. This facility is part of the Fort Gibson Lake recreation area and offers a non-reservable launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters. The lake is located approximately 5 miles northwest of historic Fort Gibson and is one of 12 recreational boat ramps serving the lake.
The Neosho River is a major waterway with significant flow, averaging over 10,500 cubic feet per second and maintaining an average velocity of nearly 7 feet per second. The river system drains over 12,000 square miles across the Ozark Plateau region. Paddlers should be prepared for moderate current conditions typical of this major river system. The lake environment provides calmer water than the river itself, making it suitable for various skill levels, though users should always check current water conditions before launching.
The area offers convenient access to Fort Gibson Lake's broader recreation network. Nearby alternative boat ramps include Fort Gibson Park and the Fort Gibson Lake Dam Site launches, providing options depending on your specific destination on the lake.
