The Long Bridge access site on Fish Creek in Ashland provides public boat launch access to Lake Superior's south shore. Located in Bayfield County near the Whittlesey Creek National Wildlife Refuge—a significant coastal wetland complex—this ramp serves as a convenient put-in for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorboat operators exploring this scenic area of northern Wisconsin.
Paddlers launching here can access the calm waters along Lake Superior's shoreline and the nearby Whittlesey Creek wetlands, which offer excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. The site's proximity to these protected wetlands makes it particularly appealing for nature-focused paddling trips. As with all Wisconsin DNR public boat access sites, this is a publicly-owned facility. For current conditions, hours, amenities, and any seasonal restrictions, check the Wisconsin DNR's boat access website at dnr.wi.gov/topic/Lands/boataccess/.
