About This Access Site
The Long Lake Recreation Area offers the only public boat launch on Long Lake, a 423-acre lake located between Sheboygan and Fond du Lac Counties. The facility features a paved ramp with a 7% slope, 3-foot launch depth, and boarding dock, making it suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. The lake reaches a maximum depth of 47 feet and offers moderately clear water conditions for paddling and exploration.

This is a fee-based access site ($5 daily or $20 seasonal), and the launch includes ADA-accessible features for visitors with mobility needs. The lake supports diverse fishing opportunities including northern pike, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, walleye, and panfish, making it popular with anglers year-round. Adjacent to the scenic Upper Mississippi River Valley, paddlers can also explore the nearby Mississippi River pools (5A and 7) for additional paddling opportunities in the region.
