About This Access Site
The Long Lake Public Access at the Long Lake Recreation Area is the only public boat launch on Long Lake, a 423-acre lake in the Polk County area. The facility features a paved boat ramp with a gentle 7% slope and a 3-foot launch depth, making it suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. A boarding dock is available to assist with launches and landings. The site is ADA accessible and charges a $5 daily fee or $20 seasonal fee.

Long Lake reaches a maximum depth of 47 feet and offers moderately clear water conditions, making it ideal for paddling, fishing, and recreational boating. The lake supports a variety of fish species including panfish, largemouth bass, northern pike, walleye, and smallmouth bass. With ongoing improvements to enhance safety and accessibility, this is a well-maintained public access point for getting out on the water.
