About This Access Site
The Long Lake Public Access at the Long Lake Recreation Area is the only public boat launch on Long Lake. This 3,478-acre lake features a well-maintained paved ramp with a 7% slope and 3-foot launch depth, making it suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. The site includes a boarding dock and offers ADA-accessible amenities. A daily launch fee of $5 (or $20 seasonal) applies.

Long Lake is a substantial water body with a maximum depth of 74 feet, offering diverse recreational opportunities. The lake supports healthy populations of northern pike, largemouth bass, walleye, perch, and panfish, making it popular for both summer fishing and winter ice fishing. Paddlers should be prepared for a large lake environment and check wind conditions before launching, as conditions can change quickly on open water of this size.
