About This Access Site
The Long Lake Public Access at Long Lake Recreation Area is the only public boat launch on this 3,478-acre Washburn County lake. The facility features a paved boat ramp with a 7% slope and 3-foot launch depth, along with a boarding dock for easy entry and exit. A daily launch fee of $5 applies (seasonal passes available for $20). The site is ADA accessible and includes designated parking.

Long Lake is a substantial body of water with a maximum depth of 74 feet, making it suitable for various watercraft including kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. The lake supports diverse fish populations including walleye, northern pike, largemouth bass, panfish, and perch, attracting both summer boaters and ice anglers in winter. Paddlers should note that this is the primary public access point on the lake, so plan accordingly during peak season.
