About This Access Site
The Long Lake Public Access at the Long Lake Recreation Area in Harshaw is the only public boat launch on Long Lake, making it the primary entry point for paddlers and boaters. The facility features a paved boat ramp with a 7% slope and 3-foot launch depth, plus a boarding dock for convenient water access. ADA accessibility features are available. A daily launch fee of $5 applies (seasonal pass $20).

Long Lake is a 423-acre lake with a maximum depth of 47 feet and moderately clear water, offering good conditions for kayaking and canoeing. The lake supports diverse fish species including northern pike, largemouth bass, walleye, panfish, and bluegill, making it popular for both fishing and general recreation. The access site is well-maintained and designed to accommodate various watercraft, from canoes and kayaks to larger boats.
