About This Access Site
The Long Lake Public Access at the Long Lake Recreation Area is the only public boat launch on this 423-acre lake in Polk County. The facility features a paved boat ramp with a 7% slope and 3-foot launch depth, along with a boarding dock to assist with launches and landings. ADA-accessible parking is available. A daily launch fee of $5 applies (seasonal passes available for $20).

Long Lake offers excellent fishing opportunities year-round, with populations of northern pike, largemouth bass, walleye, panfish, and bluegill. The lake reaches a maximum depth of 47 feet and has moderately clear water, making it suitable for kayaking, canoeing, and motorized boating. The site is popular for both summer paddling and ice fishing in winter months. Visitors should note this is a fee-based facility, so plan accordingly before launching.
