Long Lake is a 285-acre lake located in St. Louis County near Chisholm, offering public boat access via a dedicated launch facility. The lake has a maximum depth of 33 feet and provides a moderate-sized paddling destination for kayakers and canoeists. This is an ideal spot for recreational paddling, fishing, and exploring a quieter inland lake in northeastern Minnesota.
The access site is located approximately 10 miles north of Buhl off Highway 25. A parking area is situated conveniently near the water's edge with a concrete boat ramp for launching. Nearby paddling options include several connected lakes in the area, including Dark Lake, Knuckey Lake, and Clear Lake, which makes this a good hub for exploring the local lake system. Two backcountry campsites on nearby Camp Four Lake provide overnight paddling options for those seeking a more remote experience.
