Long Point Recreation Area is a popular boat launch site on Lake Hartwell, a large Corps of Engineers reservoir on the Savannah River. The site offers 7 boat ramps, a 20-slip T-dock, and ample parking for up to 150 boat trailers. This makes it a convenient access point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters looking to explore the expansive 962-mile shoreline of Hartwell Lake.
The Savannah River in this area is a wide, slow-moving body of water, creating pleasant paddling conditions for kayakers and canoeists. Motorized boats will also find plenty of room to maneuver. Whether you're fishing, cruising, or just enjoying the scenic lake environment, Long Point provides excellent launching access to the water. Nearby amenities include a 50x50 ft. pavilion, restrooms, and picnic tables, making this a great spot for a day on the water.
