About This Access Site
**Overview**
Long Pond's boat ramp in Plymouth provides a concrete launch facility managed by the Massachusetts Division of Conservation and Resources. The access point features a dedicated boat ramp, fishing area, and parking for 29 boat trailers, making it a straightforward entry point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats accessing this Plymouth County water body.

**What to Expect**
The ramp has been improved to address safety concerns, with modern infrastructure replacing an older facility. The South end location off Route 18 makes it easily accessible. Note that the Town of Freetown also manages a separate, larger boat ramp (47 trailer spaces) on the Southeast corner of Long Pond off Route 18 if you need additional parking or prefer an alternative launch point.

**Nearby Recreation**
Beyond paddling, the area offers excellent complementary outdoor opportunities. The Massasoit National Wildlife Refuge and the Cape Cod Canal (14 miles of paved trails) are nearby, providing excellent hiking, biking, and wildlife viewing options before or after your time on the water.
