About This Access Site
Longhorn Park offers convenient access to Benbrook Lake and the Clear Fork Trinity River in the scenic rolling hills southwest of Fort Worth. The facility features three boat ramps with four total lanes and parking for 75 vehicles, making it well-suited for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters. Boat ramps are located at either end of the park and include courtesy docks to assist with loading and unloading. Note that unlike other Benbrook Lake ramps, there is no launch fee at Longhorn Park.

The park is easily accessible from Interstate 20 or 820 via Exit 432A (Bryant Irvin Road); head 3 miles south to Dirks Road/Altabesa Boulevard, then turn west for 1 mile to reach the Lake Office and park entrance. Beyond boating, Longhorn Park offers picnic areas, a scenic overlook, fishing opportunities, a fishing pier, and over 14 miles of hiking and equestrian trails. Be aware that a no-wake zone is enforced on the lake, and water level fluctuations may occasionally affect ramp usability. For reservations or information, contact 817-292-2400.
