Loomis Lake is a 150-acre freshwater lake located in scenic Pacific County, Washington, offering a convenient public boat launch on the east side of Pacific Highway. The lake features a gravel boat ramp and ADA-accessible vault toilet facilities. Note that the lake operates seasonally, opening the last Saturday in April through October 31st.
This shallow, weedy lake is well-suited for small boats, kayaks, and canoes. The aquatic vegetation provides good habitat for fishing (largemouth bass, yellow perch, and stocked rainbow trout), making it popular with anglers. The sheltered conditions and modest size make it an accessible option for paddlers of varying skill levels. Nearby Willapa National Wildlife Refuge offers additional recreation opportunities in the area. Paddlers should be prepared for shallow water and vegetation when exploring the lake.
