About This Access Site
**Location & Access:** This boat ramp is located on 10th Street NW just off Highway 14 near Lake Crystal in Blue Earth County. The concrete plank ramp features a roll-in dock and provides convenient access to Loon Lake's west end.

**Lake Characteristics:** Loon Lake is a 1,095-acre inland lake with 14 miles of shoreline and a maximum depth of 202 feet, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The lake bottom is firm and sandy, and you can wade out near the ramp. An ADA-compliant dock is available next to the boat ramp. The lake is known for being quiet and calm, ideal for peaceful paddling excursions.

**Facilities & Recreation:** The ramp serves as the primary public access point to this relatively quiet lake. With minimal development (only 1 campsite), Loon Lake offers a serene paddling experience and is also popular for fishing, with populations of bluegill, crappie, bass, northern pike, and bullhead available.
